Shichon

Shichon are not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Shih Tzu. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. This hybrid cross is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club as the Zuchon.

They have a happy temperament as well as gentle, self-assured and well-mannered. They are alert and intelligent, much like their predecessors. They can be stubborn, making them more of a chore to housebreak. Some have a tendency to bark. Shichon are however obedient and great with caring children. They make very good family pets and will keep up with an active lifestyle.

Shichon are hypoallergenic making them great for allergy sufferers. Their soft curly coats are kept up by weekly brushings to keep them clean and free from tangles.
